Check that bottom cover screws are tight, and you should have a chrome
battery cap.

I have a problem with an OM-4.
I put fresh batteries and things looked OK at first. I switched to
manual
mode but the camera fired the same (fast) speed even at 1 sec. Then
the
timer light started blinking and beeping fast. Then the mirror
locked up.
I just checked again (putting the batteries back) same blinking
beeping fast
light. I measured the voltage and each battery measures 1.55V. I
tried
another pair, same behavior.
Any idea what is going on?
Thanks,
George
