I like it but note that it responds very well to a little bit of LCE.
When we lived in Virginia I planted a tulip poplar that was about 8 feet
tall at time of planting. Five years later it had grown quite a bit and
was healthy looking but had yet to produce a flower. I think your photo
is the first tulip poplar flower I've ever seen.
