Flash cards are all well sealed so it doesn't surprise me that the SD
card survived intact. I've heard of many that have been through the
washing machine and even one that made it through the dishwasher (a
deliberate test)
But I will truly be surprised if the camera works. The electronics may
be perfectly fine but I'm a bit doubtful about the lens mechanisms,
especially the zoom. But who knows. Maybe it's actually well sealed.
But if the electronics work and the lens doesn't it may be repairable at
a reasonable cost. Canon just replaces the entire lens assembly.
