On Sunday morning, NZ National radio broadcast an interview with a 95-
years old man who broke into Auschwitz 3 during WW2 to check for himself
the veracity of stories that he as a prisoner of war had been hearing about
the treatment of Jewish prisoners by the Waffen SS; not to mention the foul
smell coming from the incinerators.
He had kept his story to himself for decades, but a curious turn of events led
to his story being written. In the 40 - minute podcast (below) he tells in near-
graphic words what it was like. If you don't buy the book, at least listen to
the
story in his voice.
