No need to use OM TTL cables but they seem to connect more securely and
are just more robust than pc cords (at least the ones I have).
though obviously no quench signal is transferred, the trigger works
fine.
If you happen to have an OM TTL hot shoe cord or can get one cheap:

no need to put a flash in the hot shoe. Cheap yabe radio trigger
another option too.

There are probably 1,000 ways to connect T32s to digital camera bodies
or even fire them without physical connections. Use the OM TTL cables
and connectors if you have them but don't make a special effort to
procure them as they are most definitely not required.
