Just to add my two penneth worth, I tried several of the cheaper ones
before getting a japanese made elefoto, which (I assume the cameraquest
one is too) is head and shoulders above the others, I think most people
don't have problems with the cheaper adapters because they use light OM
lenses, not all my OM'0s are light and small. Yes they should click and
lock.
I think the focus issues are due to the adapters themselves, all of my
cheapo adapters have significant play in them, which I am sure affected
focus in a random nature because I have much less of a problem with the
elefoto adapter. You can tighten the spring clips but on the cheapo ones
they loosen again quite quickly.
Finally if you are getting a 5D2 forget the AF confirmation and buy the
EG-S screen which makes focussing much easier, however the olympus
adapters are 10 times better than the OM-EOS ones and unless you want a
full frame camera I would buy into the m.4/3 camera system, the 90/2
works brilliantly on the 4/3rds cameras and sooner or later you will get
tired of the manual focussing and want AF.
