Got my mind crossed. The last two paragraphs were meant to apply to Mike's
post. I meant to respond to two posts and
images in one, and forgot to insert one of the posts:
See pg20 #20 and following. I have seen the pixel peepers on the alt
lens forum make these statements before and am starting to believe
it---something special about the Z. 90mm macro used just like
this---corrected nicely for wide open use and the internal "glow" seems
to happen. I don't see that effect with the Viv S1 90mm--perhaps Big
Foot sometimes.

Skeptical at first but starting to melt, Mike
We've recently seen a lot of close-up images taken with relatively long lenses,
from Your Bigfoot to Jim's Telyt-R, with
a lot of nice bokeh. And is the glow the lens, or the photographer's skill/luck
with the light?
And shouldn't the stamens in the center be sharper, not as a matter of art or
technique, but from such a great macro lens?
Absent a comparison shot with another lens, good, but not 'King Zuiko 2/90' . .
.
