Hi all,
Thanks for the advice and suggestions, I decided to brave it today and
had a quick look, it seems the lens took an impact, something has slid
along the lens and hit the Lens release botton from the front (i.e.
travelling towards the lens mount which bent the mounting plate, this in
turn allowed the ball bearing (WE201036) to come out (no sign of it) and
also damage the spring CA071500.
Does anyone know if these are common items i.e. could I canibilise a
cheaper lens or John if you are reading do you have these it stock. To
return it to its former cosmetic glory I would also need the aperture
ring and mounting plate.
Thanks IanW
