Mine is near perfect - there is a black plastic washer in the bottom of the
compartment with the negative tongue poking up through it. I assume that if you
try putting a 625 in there with the washer missing, it will short out. But if
the chrome ring is attached to the centre contact, there should be no problem.
The washer is very flat - perhaps 025mm.
My FTL cost me $50 with the 50mm f1.8 and the 200mm f4. All in ebay mint
condition - no, better. I don't know if that's a 'fang' or not but I wouldn't
assume that it's a high value cam. For some reason they always seem to have
some black paint missing out of the OLYMPUS engraving on the front of the
prism. Easy to repaint but an odd flaw.
