Compacts like the XA series, Rollei 35, Minox and so on have the shortest
spacing.
Still, I already thought it was probably a half frame camera with a nominal 20
exposure roll. Then it was pointed out
that one fellow in a shot was toting a Pen F. Take a bunch of guys who know
each other well enough to travel together
and the likelihood that they share similar techie interests is high.
