Well put.
I have had the exact opposite experience from Bill -- cable Internet that was
extremely reliable, in that it was essentially unusable every evening from
about 7PM to 9PM! I switched to DSL, and all was fine.
It is certainly true that, no matter how good something is, someone can manage
to screw it up.
