I don't know if this goes out annually, but it seems that it is necessary to
make this request periodically:

It is especially a problem for those of us that get the digest. Today's, Vol
26, Issue 21 (Tue, 21 Dec 06:16:27 -0500) was 156K, 4588 lines for 60 messages.
Messages this big take a long time to open, and physically scrolling through
4500 lines to read maybe 300 lines of new content is difficult.
I would like to point out a sequence of three messages. They were all part of
the long-running Re: Battery Types thread, sent at
Mon, 20 Dec 07:37:23 -0500 (by Chuck) 450 lines,
Mon, 20 Dec 13:48:05 +0100 (by Jez) 469 lines, and
Mon, 20 Dec 13:50:24 +0100 (by Jez) 482 lines
They had 3,2, and 5 lines of new content respectively. The other 450-480 lines
contained quote horrors like this:
>> >> I've
>> >>> not
>> >>>>> looked at the
>> >>>>>>>> BatteryUniversity.com site yet,
>> >> but
Enough said. I now return you to the normal conversation about things that
occasionally have something to do with Olympus.
