I recommend not to try any old flash on the new Olympus digital camera, I
tried an Olympus (PS100G?) on the E-PL1, the circuit immediate burnt.
Fortunately the built-in flash still works ok. I use the EVF a lot and it
won't accept external flash at the same time anyway.

Nothing new. As I recall, there should be lots in the archives about Oly in
North America publishing much lower sync
voltage limits for the E-1 than did the distributors in Europe.
