Hi Chris,
Why does it pain you to write that you like the GF-1? I would not dream of
taking my M8 to a party. The GF-1 is better and faster for that, and because it
is much cheaper, if a beer gets spilled on it, the financial damage is limited.
Most importantly, with the 20mm pancake it is an awesome picture taking machine.
I must say, however, that I have never used the built-in flash on mine. I
flipped it out once just to see what it looked like. That is the extent of my
flash use in the past several years.
