Yes, that's the American way, and the British. Ignore the long term solutions
for the short: it's the Anglo-Saxon model in business as well, resulting in
short-termism in investment decisions.
The Coalition in the UK, although I disagree with many of its policies, is the
way I want governments to have power: having to look to the longer term.
