That's evocative, all right, Nathan.
I remember that the first Danish food I ever had was pastry: I hitched with a
friend through France and Germany when I was 16, arriving at Rødby Havn from
Puttgarden late at night. A stranger met us wandering the streets and kindly
put us up for the night; he bought us pastry for breakfast in the morning
before we set off for Copenhagen.
