Have to disagree. Many if not most people make purchases based on lifestyle
aspirations. That includes cars and cameras. Reason is twisted into
rationalisations. There was always a strong sense of "I use Olympus because I
reject the Canikon hegemony" on this list. I disagree with his choices (have
you EVER tasted North Korean beer?) but the concept stands up.
I bought an E-P2 at least partly because of the nice retro styling. It makes a
statement. One that I like to make. Guilty.
