I have never been bothered without the additional 4mm, but I know many are.
That lens was remarkable for it's size and price, don't know how a more
expensive version would sell. At a higher price point, there would probably
be a lot of carping, like Panasonic with the LX whatever that only went to
60mm, along the lines of , well for this much it should be 34-80, 90,
whatever. Be careful what you ask for.
Was this lens a cosina product?

The 28-48 was a low cost lens, I would pay double if they make it 24-48, may
be the extra cost can compensate for the increased range and still maintain
the same quality :-)
