One problem in using VueScan created profiles in PS is that VS doesn't
put the
profile name in the internal field for
name, and PS uses the internal name, which is the same ("VueScan Film
Profile")
for all VS created profiles. I've simply
changed the internal name using a bit editor. Not a problem for a
test, but an
annoyance if creating and using multiple
profiles using VS.
Yes, VueScan can create a profile, however, it creates only rather
simple matrix based profiles according to Wolf Faust. I would bet it is
most times sufficient if it meets the Moose approval
though WF very much likes
advanced profilers like lprof, SIPC/Coca,
inCamera, ProfileMaker. I know CoCo is free.

Much thanks to Moose, Wolf Faust and Bob for suggestions for fixing a
color cast with the Viv S1 90-180 macro on a few images I
otherwise liked.
