Scott is right. Yahoo came with my Rogers internet account. With Yahoo
came Flikr, for good or bad.

What we're probably missing is that we don't all have Yahoo accounts in
the first place. There are a lot of people who do have, and flicker is
probably something that folks with such accounts get automagically, and
thus use it.
