It must be possible since the registration distance is the same 44mm as
the Canon EF (EOS) mount. Strangely, the bayonet is similar to Pentax
K. While looking for the registration distance for the mount I
discovered an article on converting a Sigma to Canon EF mount. They're
electrically compatible. Presumably saves Sigma some money on
electronics since they're already been all over reverse engineering the
Canon EF mount. See the detail here:
