Neither are mine, it becomes very noticeable when compared with my 16
y.o. daughter hearing threshold.

But, IMO - one doesn't hear with one's ears only.
One listens with each one's whole mind.

Recently, I've been paying attention to recent research on tinnitus.
It seems that it happens inside the brain cortex ....
