Ahh, the GRIN lens (both for the facial expression, as well as the
glass technology :-)
Every so often this seems to pop up, I find it amazing that this is
still the only real
site with any first-hand reference to the lens.
I do find it curious that, if a small number does exist
(instead of just one or two prototypes), nobody has posted anything
else about it, if
only for bragging rights. You can be sure this would sell for much
more than a 250mm f/2.0
if ever one were to come on the market.
Would have been great if Olympus managed to get the lens into series
production. A
fast portrait lens, together with an ultra wide-angle (wider than 18mm
rectilinear) are the only
two missing lenses, in my opinion, of the vast OM system.
