I downloaded the butterfly pic and looked at it on my calibrated monitor, a
LaCie 321. there was a distinct difference between that and the crappy Acer
that is used for the intenet. There, the saturation was over the top, and
the orange flower was blooming in a photographic sense. There was no detail
on the petals.
On the LaCie, there was some detail in the flower petals, although not as
much as I would have liked. The orange was under control, and the background
was muted. It in general fits your comparison of flatter, and a bit softer.
It is a more rational look, but not perhaps pleasing to those who use Veleia
exclusively.
