These applications don't look as good/thorough as Ephemeris, but I
just got a note that "for a limited time" they are free. They're
similar, and may give you a taste for the usefulness of Ephemeris:

(Not to mention I'm prompting Ken for a comparison, because I'm sure
he's got nothing better to do than compare iPhone/iPad apps for my
