Yes, there are numerous stories there. I have known them both for many,
many years. Frank, on the left, is a retired USAF Col., and has owned the
fixed-base operation at the airport for many years. He is retiring, and the
operation is about to change hands
Coach, on the right, was track and cross-country coach at the local high
school when my boys were in school. I have made trips to numerous track
meets with him, transporting school athletes. Following him in city
traffic, trying to find the next turn, was a real challenge, but we always
enjoyed the trips. He has been battling cancer for some time. He had a
sawmill at his home, and collected hardwood logs wherever he could find
them. I suspect, but don't know for sure, that he made the large hardwood
conference table that he donated to the new terminal building.
