Friendliest on the planet, I don't know, but certainly better than their
reputation. Nowhere near as friendly as the people in Boston, based on the trip
I just completed.
As for the English shops--lots of stuff. Some are just ordinary things liked
canned vegetables but brands that are known and trusted among the British; also
lots of English ales--that is what I buy there.
