Hi Brian,

Coming a bit late to this but have you tried any of the services which 
allow faster download with their software installed becuase they 
compress it centrally and then send the compressed files over the line 
and your PC uncompresses the pages again. I have not tried one of these 
but did consider it at one point and can understand how it would work ;-).
