You can use colour heads for multigrade contrast control (in place of the
multigrade filters), Brian, though I have no experience of multigrade
printing.

Yes, the Meopta was made in Czechoslovakia, and the Minolta E.Rokkor is
50mm, not 50cm.
Although the Krokus is clearly made for colour printing, the optics and the
cool (ie not heated) light path (there's much more glass in the light path)
makes me want to ask
"Would it actually not be any good for B&W printing?"
The Minolta lens is significantly bigger than that of the Meopta as well
which
would have me intuitively favour it.
I'll see if I can replace the bulb.
