I never used that feature, Ian, but I am going through the Apple Pro Training
Series book (with a view to taking the exam and getting a job): if you Import
from your hard drive with New Project selected (default), when you click on a
folder in the Import Browser (at the bottom) the name of the folder appears as
the name of the project into which you will import the images.
Is that no use to you?
