Nicely done HDR Jim, with only a little bit of "halo" around the plane.
You guys call this plane a Texan, whilst over here in South Africa
it's called a Harvard.
This past week-end I had the pleasure of attending a rather humdrum
airshow, but they
*did* fly twelve of these planes together, the noise was quite
incredible, especially
at engine startup. The harvard has a unique and beautiful noise. If I
recall, it's because
the tips of the prop is supersonic? Other propellor-driven planes have
this too, of course, but
it's probably some other unique aspect of the prop design?
