In the Netherlands, where I live, they used to "breed" them in
medieval times. They would hang special pottery from trees and roofs
for them to nest in and steal the young just before they would leave
the nest.
Be aware that this was a time when they would eat almost anything and
most recipes from those days would be frowned upon in modern times.
Then again, in France they still hunt them for food...
