And the difference is?
Drumroll....
Bitrate.
There are a couple of other little things, but essentially DTV is really no
different than Internet streaming.
Any time that you apply compression (bit-rate reduction) to a stream of
video with audio you run the risk of breaking sync. The two aspects
(video/audio) aren't locked together through the compression process.
