It is my first time seeing the 50/2 prototype, I belive it was finally
turned down by marketing since there were already 50/1.4 and 50/1.8, a F2
standard lens was not very attractive at that time even for a pancake.
Fortunately, they had finally made an excellent 40/2, it is one of my
favourite lens.
I'm also glad to know Mr. Maitani like both 24/2 and 75-150, they are my
favourite lenses too.
