Yes,
Odd very common opinion that red 60 turns it totally off. List member
posts (where wisdom resides) from the archive reveal that practice is
good for storage--largely when traveling, as half press won't turn
stuff on and drain more power.
That said, never had occasion to change out to spare battery during a
trip with a fresh one loaded. I would like to win an all expense paid
trip
to try and deplete a battery in the 4T, but would take a total pass
for a trip with any one of my digi-things.

Did you hear that Brian? It's your 4T that's saving your battery, not
switching to a mechanical speed on the dial.
