There was a lot of bad press on this lens when the G system was current.
Many had difficulty getting consistent focus with a G1.
I suspect most of it was due to poor technique rather than equipment.
Nevertheless, the mud stuck.
The prince of the G lenses was the standard 45mm Planar - great optic,
lovely character to it.
The mount is gone - probably binned. It's a bit clumsy I think
compared to a proper focus ring.
