Thanks Chuck, I knew about the two hoods that Olympus originally made. Had
the chance to buy one, but $50+ for a hood is pretty steep--at least for me
it is. And I want a rectangular hood.
51mm is even more of an odd thread size than 49mm.

Welcome Nic. I don't know the answer. The eSIF (you need it)

51mm slide-on and a 49mm screw-in listed (but not illustrated) here:

The same hoods are used on the 35/2.8 shift. Perhaps someone who has
the real thing can post a pic and specs on dimensions to help you with
finding a suitable alternative.
