I use my G10 in low light, and it is certainly better than the Panasonic LX2
that I used previously, although in other respects I like the panasonic
better. A bit of noise ninja and things are really OK. I recently took three
files to 24x36 after nn-ing them, and they looked great. Certainly enough to
make Michael R. think they were taken with a Hasselblad.
I do believe that the G11 would do better, but not so much that I'm going to
trade. That new Sony does look interesting, though.
