When I worked for IBM I used to make occasional trips to IBM's Santa 
Teresa lab (a bit south of Moose).  For some reason all of the earlier 
trips must have occurred in the spring when the surrounding hills were 
very green.  I remember being quite startled one year when I made a late 
summer trip and discovered all was golden (or dead depending on your 
outlook).  I shouldn't have been surprised since I knew this happened 
but it was still a surprise actually seeing it for the first time.
