Thanks Jay. I really really like my 2-13 screen beautifully scribed
by John in my 4T for general use--I think the dof view is about F2.8
with it. Judgment of bokeh and dof may actually be a bit more
accurate in some situations with the 1-13, though the VF is not as
bright. Gotta hate the no free lunch law of optics. A blacked out
microprism can be distracting and getting the focus just right seems
critical for the Z. 38--especially when I have it on my Tilt-shift
Mirex gizmo. I really haven't been pleased with my results thus far
with that combo, but it has been my implementation issues being a
newbie with both.
Thanks for your comments. I'll keep an eye out for one.
Mike
I'm not lucky enough to have gotten a 2-4 or 2-13 screen, but I think
anything
with a microprism is not going to work well, especially if you've
really got
this lens out on the extreme extensions of an auto tube or a bellows.
I use the 1-11, 1-12 or the Beattie screen that's like the Olympus
1-10. I want
that clear screen when doing macro work, your eyes may work
differently. The
use of the varimagnifier works very well with the cross hairs of the
1-11 and
1-12.
