Yep, I read something about it on a CES update that xD will be history 
on new models.  Not sure where but here is one confirmatory link.

I've read that the new line of Olympus P&S digitals coming out in March 
will use SD memory cards due to their ability to write HD faster than 
xD. Anyone else here this?
