According to my mother who was at college in Edinburgh in the 30s you would
not believe how many sassenachs were sent off to hunt for a haggis. Only the
smart ones came back with a slaughtered sheep emptied of its stomach, heart,
liver and lungs with them all ready to be boiled up for stuffing into the
stomach.
So yes, you can catch a haggis ingredient by ingredient.
