I'm not sure that I agree with you, Nathan, although they might have been
bending the truth somewhat. But it's not unlikely to happen. A company might
choose to sell only through niche or low-volume sales outlets to keep the price
up. And since Jessops is such a low-quality chain and is on its uppers, it was
an unwise thing to do, in my (admittedly uneducated) view.
However, Campkins did have the E-P1 on sale at the "old" price (around
GBP650-700); make of that what you will ...
