The owner of a local camera store relates why he no longer carries Nikon.
The local bestbuy stocks a remarkably full line of Nikon bodies, up to and
including the D700, on which they usually display a DX lens. They have no
problem getting stock. How many of the mid and top range cameras they sell
is up for debate.
When a customer comes in and orders something Nikon from him, he orders and
waits. And waits, And waits and waits. Nikon doesn't look at individual
store sales, just the total numbers from BB and B&H and etc. Thus he looks
bad and BB looks great.
Canon, not a problem, so guess what he sells....
There are always strange problems at the supplier level for any retailer.
