Well, Moose...I left it up for about 30 minutes, and it hasn't grown on
me, so I guess you could color me unconventional. :-)
If I were to bring up the shadows, I think I would prefer something
about halfway between the two images.
However, the more pictures I take and see...the less I care for "evenly"
or "perfectly" lit images. Not that I dislike them, but that I don't
find them as appealing.
There is an ambiance that I feel is often lost when we lose the shadows.
I realize this is extremely subjective...but I am learning that I prefer
(for myself) images that are a bit more moody, and perhaps even a bit
under-exposed. Having said that, I know very well that there is a time,
place, and purpose for all types of lighting...and I have been known to
work very hard at lifting shadows myself for other people, or to get the
flashes all set up as well as I can. But on my own images...I prefer
them much as you see the original of this image.
And crazy...I hope you know I was talking about whatever "crazy" macabre
thing you might do to the non-living doll. :-)
