With overnight lows in the teens (deg F), and daytime highs in the lower 20s, I
decided to look for indoor subjects. The fireplace was the favorite location
for the day, and I had never had much luck photographing it. After futile
attempts at AE with the flickering flames, I decided to explore manual exposure
on the E-1. This was the best of several exposures, made with various ISO and
shutter speed combinations.
