What he needs to do is send the public version of the link, which Facebook
always provides at the bottom of each of your own photo pages, like this:
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=213528&l=5c35289c42&id=1226811003
It is visible to everyone regardless of whether they are my friends on Facebook
or not.
