Sorry Andrew, that is not true. At all.
Witness the era of the Olympus Ecru or the O-Product. Olympus also had
gold-edition Trip 35 and if you want to see one, go visit Michaels Camera &
Video on the corner of Elizabeth and Lonsdale Streets in Melbourne. If
you're lucky enough, you'll see them there.
Both the Ecru and O-Product were not products meant to sell commercially in
huge numbers. These were pre-numbered limited edition celebratory copies.
I would wager a bet with you that Olympus will surprise you. Give them a *few
more* years. And yes, it's good to have some faith. Good things take a
little time to come to fruition. Like wine. I'm sure you know that,
Andrew... ;)
