Hi - a simple way is to zip any file you want 'protected' - there's an option
in winzip to specify a password when you save that will be needed to open it.

Subject: [OM] OT - recommendation for a simple password controlled file
encrypter
Soon I'm going to have to put some financial and other info on my laptop
which normally contains nothing of any importance other than to me. I
could use some suggestions for a simple, password controlled file
encryption program. Winders public key encryption looks like overkill.
I just want something easy to use that can thwart a dumb thief for a
few days.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Chuck Norcutt
