Name a couple please.
It is quite frustrating when I see the flash drive "reading me" light flicker
for
several seconds after connection, but nothing I have on this XP machine
lets me see inside the Flash drive.
Until just now, I'd never heard of "Ready Boost".
I will try the command line approach later, after more sleep !! The Digest
arrives here after about 12.30 am and it's now 1.55 am. I'm going back to
bed shortly.
Re Central USA storm;
I can't imagine what -10 F would be like here. My flat has NO insulation and
just single glazing. I guess I'd freeze to death in a matter of single digit
hours.

I suspect as much. But don't have an answer yet. I'm hoping that the 2nd
drive will enable me to make copies somewhere else from which I can write
CDROM backups.
I was rather hoping that the Flash Drive would make it possible to avoid the
use of CDROM backup, but it seems that Flash Drives are not the answer
for me. In the circumstances being able to write CDs of the data will be a
huge relief. 15 or more of them !! I may call on the much faster machine of
a friend to help.
